Airplane War Madness: A Beginner's Guide to Surviving Longer
New to Airplane War Madness? Here's how to stay alive, use power-ups well, and get better scores.
What to expect
Airplane War Madness is an arcade shooter in the classic style. You fly a fighter plane, enemies come at you from all directions, and the screen quickly fills with bullets.
If you've never played this kind of game before, the first few runs can feel overwhelming. That's normal. Within a few tries, you'll start to see patterns, and the chaos will feel much more manageable.
Rule one: keep moving
The fastest way to lose in Airplane War Madness is to sit still. A plane that stays in one place is an easy target.
Get into the habit of drifting around the screen constantly, even when it looks safe. Small, steady movements are better than big panicked swerves. You'll find yourself dodging bullets without even thinking about it.
Using power-ups
Power-ups appear during the action and make your weapons stronger. Grab them when you can, but don't take big risks to reach them. Flying through a wall of bullets for a power-up usually costs you more than it gives.
Save your strongest attacks for when they matter most: when a group of enemies bunches together, or when a boss appears.
Endless mode or stages?
The game has two ways to play. Endless mode keeps going as long as you survive, which makes it great for chasing a high score. Stage mode breaks the game into separate stages, so you can progress at a steadier pace.
If you're new, stage mode is a gentler place to learn. Once you're comfortable, switch to endless mode and see how far you can get.
Common mistakes
Focusing only on enemies in front of you. Keep an eye on the whole screen, because attacks can come from the sides too.
Panicking when things get busy. When the screen fills up, slow your movements down rather than speeding them up. Calm, controlled dodging works better.
Playing too long without a break. Reaction games are tiring. If your scores are dropping, take a short break and come back fresh.
Once you're comfortable here, try Space Madness Deluxe or, if you want a real challenge, The Impossible Space Battle.
