Soccer Penalty Pro Tips: How to Score More Penalties

Practical tips for beating the goalkeeper in Soccer Penalty Pro, from reading the keeper to picking your spot.

Why penalties are harder than they look

In real football, penalties are supposed to be easy. You're close to the goal, and only the keeper stands in the way. Yet professional players miss them all the time, because the pressure gets to them.

Soccer Penalty Pro captures that feeling well. It's just you, the ball, and a goalkeeper. You swipe to aim and shoot, and every kick feels like it matters.

Watch the keeper first

The single most useful habit is to look at the goalkeeper before every kick. Where are they standing? Are they closer to one post than the other? Which way do they seem to be leaning?

The keeper's position tells you a lot. If they're standing slightly to one side, the other side of the goal is bigger. Take a second to notice this before you swipe.

Don't repeat yourself

When you find a spot that works, it's tempting to use it every time. It might work for a kick or two, but relying on one spot is risky. Mix up your corners and heights.

Think like a real penalty taker. The best ones are unpredictable. If the keeper can't guess where you're going, you're much more likely to score.

Accuracy beats power

A hard shot straight at the keeper usually gets saved. A well-placed shot just inside the post is very hard to stop, even if it isn't hit hard.

Before you swipe, choose your exact target. Don't aim for "left." Aim for the bottom left corner, just inside the post. The more precise your target, the more precise your shot.

Staying calm

If you miss a couple in a row, don't change everything at once. Take a breath, look at the keeper again, and pick your spot carefully.

When you want to see penalties from the other side, try World Goal Keeper, where you're the one diving to make saves. Playing both games back to back is a fun way to understand what makes a penalty hard to stop.
